Sometimes major life events happen, and your world turns upside down. It could be a joyful event, or maybe it’s something that tears you apart and leaves you broken in a million pieces. But it leaves you in a state of constant hustle, just trying to stay caught up in your day to day life.
For me, it was a good event. My son was born. I was a new mom trying to figure out this whole parenting thing with my wonderful husband. I was working full time, coaching volleyball, and then playing single mom while my husband coached basketball. The last thing I had time for was a second job – which is what photography had started to feel like.
An opportunity arose to be a part of another studio, and I was intrigued with the chance to continue to follow my passion. As time went on, I missed having my own business. Okay, maybe not the business part of things, but I missed the relationships with clients who became more like friends.
I missed having a creative outlet and sharing it with others.
So after a lot of thought and prayer, I decided to re-embark on this adventure. Having a break and some time off has given me a clear head to see exactly what I want, and I now have a vision of what I want Jordan Stumbo to be. I will still be a portrait and wedding photographer. I will still share my travel images. But I will do it my way.
Thank you all for your support over the last five years! I am so excited to continue on this journey and bring you all along with me.
