I started my photography career on senior portraits. I was a junior in college when I had my first “paid session”. Prior to that, my shutter count was full of travels and my college roommate who graciously modeled for me for my film classes. There’s just something about capturing such an exciting time in these young people’s lives.

I have had the incredible privilege of photographing many seniors over the years, including many of my family members. Sara is my youngest cousin, and she was kind enough to let me drag her around to some of my favorite spots last summer. This hidden, tucked away beach is a go-to. It’s quiet, and the curve of the beach and the greenery make for the most stunning, calming backdrop.
